  My one star rating reflects how I feel about K-mart's values surrounding the quality of their products. They continually create products that wear out after only a few uses whether it be the shirts that lose their stretch after three wears or their shoes that barely last a month, they clearly make their products to need replacement frequently. Furthermore, most of their clothing can only be sold for as low as it is by making money of the back of people in third world countries in unsafe working conditions and inadequate wages. This is not sustainable and this is not ethical consumerism.

  Asked a simple question "Can I return this item if it doesn't work". Junior sales assistant says "Don't know". Asked him to find out and ask a co worker and she said " I think so".

  First of all, my poor rating is not for the service from staff members- when returning my product with which I wasn't satisfied, the staff were very helpful.

  Great products, helpful staff but the checkout layout is very silly in my opinion. They have two or 3 staff counters and the rest are self checkout in the middle of the store. The self checkout weighing system doesn't work unless you have bigger items and it is very frustrating waiting for a staff member to come over and fix the system for you, especially if there is only one staff member and they are usually helping someone else with the same issue. On the way out the door, a staff member has to check your receipt. I know this is a layout for all Kmart stores now but it just doesn't make sense in my opinion.

  Couldn't wait to get out, hate the new layout. Ridiculous to put check outs inthe center of the store. I am done with kmart, will go to target .
